Reiki originated in Japan and was rediscovered in the early 20th century by the Japanese individual Dr. Mikao Usui. The term “Reiki” translates to “universal (rei) life energy (ki)” and represents the essential energy that forms the foundation of all life.
The Usui System of Reiki is a globally practiced healing method where transformative Reiki energy is transmitted through targeted laying on of hands. This method of hands-on healing has deep roots in human history. Reiki operates on physical, mental, and spiritual levels, activating and stabilizing the body’s inherent healing powers, initiating a process of purification, relaxation, and personal growth.
Reiki supports, among other things:
- Activation and harmonization of the energy system
- Release of energy and emotional blockages
- Mental and physical detoxification
- Stress reduction
- Emotional balance
- Self-love, self-responsibility, self-discovery
- Concentration and learning abilities
- Strengthening of self-healing powers
- Stimulation of metabolism
- Pain relief
Reiki can also serve as a supportive method for mental or physical symptoms/illnesses, especially when combined with Traditional Healing, and is even applicable as distant healing.
Treatment
A Reiki treatment is characterized by the gentle laying on of hands at specific points on the front and back of the body and typically takes place with the recipient lying down.
It is a gentle treatment method performed on the clothed body without the use of tools.
During the session, the recipient typically experiences a deep relaxation. Various physical sensations may arise, such as warmth, tingling, a sensation of floating, or even falling asleep.
The treatment lasts approximately 1 hour.
Reiki-Seminars
Reiki according to the Usui System of Natural Healing is traditionally taught in three degrees:
- I. Degree: Learning self-treatment and treatment of others
- II. Degree: Learning the three symbols for power enhancement, mental healing, and distant healing
- III. Degree: Master level
