Ear acupuncture / Auricular acupuncture (also known as auriculotherapy) is a diagnostic and therapeutic approach founded by the French physician Paul Nogier (1908-1996). Introduced at an acupuncture congress in 1956, this method is based on the theory that the ear contains reflex zones, whose stimulation through acupuncture needles or other manipulation methods can trigger therapeutic effects on various regions of the body.
